Fat Analysis X-ray Machine FA3/C
The FA3/C provides inline fat measurement and contaminant detection of packaged meat products in cardboard cartons, plastic crates and vacuum-packed blocks.
The FA3/C provides inline fat measurement and contaminant detection of packaged meat products in cardboard cartons, plastic crates and vacuum-packed blocks.
Eagle’s FA3/C inline fat analysis machine use DEXA to discriminate between fat and lean portions of 100% of product throughput, providing Chemical Lean (CL) measurements to better than +/- 1CL accuracy. The FA3/C is hygienically constructed to sanitary design and operates at industry throughputs in excess of 2,400 packages per hour. The system simultaneously performs the following inline product integrity checks with no degradation in inspection performance at full throughput:
433 mm wide at the belt, 433 mm wide at the top of aperture; 229 mm overall height
Simultaneous inspection modes for contaminant, chemical lean (CL) value, mass measurement with statistics
15″ TFT color touch screen; Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB with Eagle SimulTask™ 4 PRO Control & Imaging Software; TeamViewer™ service tool for remote machine diagnostics & product set-up services

Our Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) technology to inspect 100% of throughput in real-time, providing fat measurement accuracy better than +/- 1CL, while simultaneously verifying mass and detecting physical contaminants.
SimulTask™ PRO, short for Simultaneous Tasking, is Eagle’s advanced x-ray image analysis software and is the basis for all our operator-friendly x-ray inspection systems. With the highest greyscale range of 65,535 values, you will see deeper contrast and subtle differences that provide superior image results.
The Eagle TraceServer™ x-ray software program records valuable production data and machine status information from one or more of Eagle’s x-ray machines and consolidates it into a single centralized database. This intelligent software provides companies with due-diligence capabilities to enhance product traceability and overall quality assurance.
Exclusive to Eagle, this radically enhanced dual energy detector captures more detailed information about a product than previously possible. When this product information is instantly processed by Eagle’s advanced image analysis software, SimulTask PRO™, you’ll see higher resolution images, an increase in detection accuracy and significantly reduced false reject rates.
Material Discrimination X-ray, MDX is Eagle’s original dual energy technology that provides better detection for objects that show a very small x-ray absorption variation. Dense foreign bodies in dense products are more easily detected using MDX compared to single energy detectors.
Checks 100% of fresh and frozen meat, packaged or unpackaged, in real-time providing precise chemical lean values to better than +/- 1 CL.
Find and reject harmful bone fragments, 2 mm or less, in various meat and seafood applications.
UPSHOT™ enables meat to be scanned from the bottom with detectors over the product further enhancing precise detection.
Mass and weight measurement with x-ray technology provides an additional layer of process control and due diligence to ensure a high-quality.
Enhances traditional x-ray inspection and allows for the detection of materials previously unseen by single energy x-ray.
